We had a wonderful stay at a hotel with a beautiful location, overlooking the lake. the close proximity to the beach allowed us to enjoy leisurely walks, especially during the dry season. We were also thrilled to encounter wild elephants near our room, safely separated by an electric fence. the hotel's convenient biking distance to the museum was an added bonus. Despite not receiving prompt responses to our emails, our overall experience at Ekho Lake Hotel in Sri Lanka was terrific. Cons: Everything was fantastic! 😊.

Some staff not fully trained e.g. after long day out, we returned tired to find reception staff demanding we pay the room bill part way through our stay. Also accommodation and food for drivers is poor - 8 to a small room.

The location across the lake was absolutely stunning, providing breathtaking views and a sense of tranquility. The staff here were exceptional and friendly, especially the restaurant manager who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect. The room amenities were top-notch, with air conditioning, an in-room safe, and free toiletries provided. We also appreciated the convenience of having an electric kettle and a flat-screen TV in our room.

We loved the location of the hotel, as it was close to the attractions and had a stunning view of the lake. The staff were polite, friendly, and provided excellent service with a smile. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had good air-conditioning. The hotel facilities were great, and we enjoyed the terrace next to the pool during the amazing sunsets.

stayed at a home stay room before, but Ekho Lake blew me away! Breathtaking views from the window, comfy beds, and a serene pool. Staff was friendly and the welcome drink was a lifesaver after a long bus ride. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.

The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive, providing efficient service. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with great air-conditioning. The manager is actively involved and motivates the staff well.

The hotel's traditional Sri Lankan decor added a touch of elegance and warmth to the overall ambiance. The wooden furniture and colorful accents made me feel like I was truly experiencing the local culture. The general areas, such as the lobby and restaurant, were well-maintained and provided comfortable seating options for seniors. Additionally, the hotel was easily accessible for senior people, with ramps and handrails available throughout the property.

I wish the children working there would have been more attentive to the needs of senior guests. Perhaps a dedicated staff member specifically trained to cater to the needs of older individuals would have enhanced the vacation experience even further.

The view from the room was amazing and definitely added to the romantic atmosphere of our escape. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious enough for two people. The breakfast buffet had a decent variety of options available and the staff was friendly.

The location was quite remote, making it difficult to find transportation to explore the surrounding area. The lack of Wi-Fi connectivity in the room was a big disappointment, as we had to sit in the lobby to try and get some work done. Additionally, the noise from cleaning staff at night was a disturbance to our peaceful stay.

For the price we paid, our stay at Ekho Lake was great value. The room was lovely and the view from our window was breathtaking. The hotel is situated in a perfect location right by the lakeshore, which added to the overall experience.
